Stop Dreaming About Quality Sleep and Do Something!

An old Chinese proverb states, "Only when one cannot sleep does one know how long the night is." Anyone who's ever experienced an occasional bout with insomnia—and that's most of us—can relate to this all too well.

In fact, surveys have shown that between 40 and 60 percent of the general population has trouble sleeping. Daily stress and worries, pressures from job and family, body aches and pains caused by uncomfortable beds or pillows, and a host of other issues can keep a person from getting enough quality sleep.

Chiropractic Advice for Pregnancy

The weight gain, the bloating, the nausea... Most new mothers will tell you that the aches and pains of pregnancy are a small price to pay for the beautiful bundle of joy they're rewarded with nine months later.

But as many new mothers can attest, the muscle strains of pregnancy are very real and can be more than just a nuisance. The average weight gain of 25 to 35 pounds, combined with the increased stress placed on the body by the baby, can sometimes result in severe discomfort. In fact, studies have found that about half of all expectant mothers will develop low back pain at some point during their pregnancy. This is especially true during late pregnancy, when the baby's head presses down on a woman's back, legs and buttocks, putting pressure on her sciatic nerve. And for those who already suffer from low back pain, the problem can become even worse.

Chiropractic Education

Educational requirements for doctors of chiropractic are among the most stringent of any of the health care professions.

The typical applicant at a chiropractic college has already acquired nearly four years of pre-medical undergraduate college education, including courses in biology, inorganic and organic chemistry, physics, psychology and related lab work. Once accepted into an accredited chiropractic college, the requirements become even more demanding — four to five academic years of professional study are the standard. Because of the hands-on nature of chiropractic, and the intricate adjusting techniques, a significant portion of time is spent in clinical training.

Chiropractic Research

Numerous studies have shown that chiropractic treatment is both safe and effective.  The following are excerpts from a few of the more recent studies.  By examining the research supporting chiropractic care, you will find that chiropractic offers tremendous potential in meeting today's health care challenges.

What our patients have to say about us:

Dr. Natalie has really helped me!
"I'd like to tell you how Dr. Natalie Randazzo has helped turn my life around. I was hit by a drunk driver in a head on collision several years ago and suffered multiple injuries. I was in a wheel chair for a year and have suffered with constant back pain since. When the pain got so bad one afternoon that I couldn't stand it any longer, my husband suggested I try a chiropractor as I had nothing to lose! Pills and all other treatments had failed to relieve my pain and I thought, I'll give it a try.

After calling various chiropractors from the Yellow Pages, we found only Dr. Natalie was willing to see me quickly in an emergency visit (that same afternoon, she stayed behind especially for me!)

I have now received treatments for several weeks and can not believe that for the first time I can be free from the constant nagging pain that has affected my life for so long. I had actually forgotten how it felt to be pain free! I am really grateful to have found Dr. Natalie and wish to thank her for all her help and compassion, not only to feel well again, but to reduce the need to take prescriptions for pain that is no longer there! Thank you Dr. Natalie!" Dr. Natalie, you are an angel!

I moved to Charlotte 3 years ago, shortly after having been diagnosed with a disabling case of Peripheral Neuropathy just before my 45th birthday.

As I often tell people in describing the affects of the disease, I only have so many steps in me a day, before I’m in excruciating pain. Additionally, my condition causes excessive muscle and joint pain and stiffness. Unfortunately my ability to exercise is limited by the disease.

South Charlotte Chiropractic was the first medical connection I made here in Charlotte. I needed their help to move my muscles and joints, and put things back in place, allowing my body to work at an optimum level.

Under their care, I have made significant improvements in managing my condition. The addition of massage therapy as part of their offerings has been vital to my progress. Together, they help to keep me moving at an optimal rate, having a positive impact on my sense of well being.

The entire staff is personable, caring, compassionate, and accommodating. The doctors and massage therapist truly understand my condition, my progress, my needs, and me as an overall person. After 3 years under their care, I feel like the entire staff is family.

I am so glad to have them as part of my health care routine. I have already recommended numerous patients to them, and will continue to send anybody I can their way!
